Securities Brokerage Account Option PDF  Print  E Mail
In some instances, you may wish to include a securities brokerage account option for interested participants. This investment slot could be used in addition to a core array of funds in your Plan. While this alternative is accessible to the Plan, there are several essential fiduciary considerations prior to implementation. An employer should consider that not all employees have the same level of investment savvy and sophistication when it comes to retirement investing. Individual securities require a greater degree of prudence and understanding on the part of the participant. Further, based on the unique retirement savings goals of each participant, their intended investment time horizon, and risk comfort (volatility and potential loss of principal), individual stocks and bonds are not always the right fit. It is important to review, not only the potential gain, but also the risks associated with individual securities investing. Education is available through our qualified financial professionals who are also Registered Representatives of MML Investors Services, LLC, prior to investing.
